According to Friday's SEC availability report, sophomore wide receiver Jeremiah Koger has officially been ruled out for Auburn's matchup against the Rebels.
Koger has been one of Auburn's more productive receivers this season, recording 14 receptions for 230 yards through seven games.
The sophomore is averaging 16.4 yards per reception and has recorded at least one catch in every game this season.
Koger finished Auburn's 38-17 loss to LSU with two receptions for 30 yards.
His absence is another challenge for an Auburn offense that has struggled with consistency throughout Alex Golesh's first season.
Koger isn't the only Auburn player who will miss Saturday's game.
Offensive lineman Tai Buster and tight end Hunter Herring continue to be out, bringing Auburn's total to three unavailable players.
Buster's absence continues to come at a difficult time for Auburn's offensive line, which allowed seven sacks and 12 tackles for loss against LSU. Alex Golesh did say he is trending in the right direction, and should be practicing soon.
The Tigers will need a much better performance up front if they want to have success offensively against Ole Miss.
The Rebels are dealing with significantly more injuries heading into Saturday's matchup.
Ole Miss has officially ruled out 10 players , including star running back Kewan Lacy.
The Rebels will also be without wide receivers Izaiah Hartrup and Kervin Johnson Jr., along with several defensive players.
Cornerbacks Cedrick Beavers and Iverson McCoy, safeties Edwin Joseph, MJ Preston and Nascar McCoy, and linebacker Ant Davis Jr. are all out.
Offensive lineman Emanuel Faulkner is also unavailable.
Cornerback and former Auburn Tiger Jalyn Crawford is listed as questionable, while three other Ole Miss players are probable.
Lacy's absence is significant, but Golesh has already acknowledged that the Rebels have other capable running backs.
Auburn is coming off a disappointing performance against LSU, but the Tigers have already shown they can pull off a major upset with their victory over Georgia.
Ole Miss' injuries, particularly in the secondary, could create opportunities for quarterback Byrum Brown and Auburn's passing game.
However, Auburn cannot afford another slow start.
The Tigers trailed LSU 31-10 at halftime and never recovered.
If Auburn wants to leave Oxford with another major victory, it must establish the running game, avoid negative plays, and take advantage of Ole Miss' depleted roster.
The Tigers have an opportunity Saturday, but they'll need a much better performance than what they showed against LSU.
