Week 9 Fantasy Football Sleepers: Adonai Mitchell, DeMario Douglas among underrated options off the waiver wire

Scott Pianowski Fantasy analyst Thu, November 5, 2026 at 3:21 PM UTC · 3 min read About Our Ads Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement The Week 8 sleeper page mostly failed to launch , as Jacoby Brissett was benched and Bam Knight left with a concussion. Receivers Antonio Williams and Makai Lemon were passable but not great, but at least TE Mike Gesicki continued to crush. Let's see what's available for screened value in Week 9.

WR Adonai Mitchell at Chiefs (31%) : The New York offense is a maze right now, with injuries and erratic target distributions messing with our projections. But Mitchell can't be ignored after that 7-142-1 detonation against the Raiders last week, and he did produce in Weeks 1 and 2 before his finger injury. If Garrett Wilson (concussion) can't get cleared, Mitchell might have 10-plus targets off the bus for Week 9.

WR DeMario Douglas vs. Packers (41%) : He's about ready to graduate this page, with four touchdowns in four weeks. A.J. Brown is no sure thing to return this week, and Drake Maye has shown remarkable chemistry with Douglas, completing 17-of-20 passes in his direction over the past four games.

QB Drew Lock vs. Cardinals (9%) : He was surprisingly effective in a relief stint back in September, including a win over the Arizona team he draws in Week 9 (elbow permitting). With Jaxon Smith-Njigba working his downfield wizardry, you always have a chance. Arizona has allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks.

RB Dylan Sampson at Saints (23%) : Sampson showed off his receiving chops last week, a 6-62-0 log in the loss at Pittsburgh. With the Browns an underdog and perhaps starting Shedeur Sanders, it's possible Sampson might be in position for another PPR-scam outcome.

QB Malik Willis vs. Lions (30%) : His early-season fantasy value was mostly tied to his legs, but Willis has started to build some chemistry with his receivers. The Detroit defense has been a giveaway, setting up Willis as an attractive Week 9 streamer. Also leave the light on for TE Greg Dulcich, who has a useful 9-129-0 line over the last two weeks. The Lions have struggled to mark opposing tight ends all year.

TE Eli Raridon vs. Packers (2%) : This is a deep cut and it's tied to Hunter Henry (foot), who didn't practice Wednesday. Raridon already has a couple of touchdowns and he's drawn four targets in each of the past two weeks; if nothing else, get him ready for your 2027 sleeper list. If Henry can't go on Sunday, Raridon is a reasonable pivot in larger leagues.

WR Ryan Flournoy at Colts (39%) : Mostly this is a reminder to roster Flournoy as a one-injury away guy; if CeeDee Lamb or George Pickens were to ever miss time, Flournoy would become an easy fantasy play. But even if the Cowboys are hale at receiver, Flournoy is angling for attention, posting double-digit fantasy points in three of four starts. He's essentially replaced Jake Ferguson as the third pitch in this downfield passing game.
