The once-beaten Salkilld (13-1) is riding a 13-fight win streak, which includes his submission victory over Mateusz Gamrot at UFC Vegas 120 last August. As for Saint Denis (17-4, 1 NC), four years older than Salkilld at 30, he's looking to rebound from his submission loss to Paddy Pimblett at UFC 329 last July.
Salkilld is currently the -260 betting favorite against +216 for Saint Denis, according to BetOnline.ag .
"I kind of think Salkilld is going to win," retired UFC lightweight Dustin Poirier told Deep Waters . "Nice guy, but I fought [Saint Denis], so I felt the skill level and I just think there's more dangerous guys out there. It's a tough fight. [Saint Denis] is kind of a brute in there. He'll throw himself in and just crash. It's a test for both guys."
UFC Sydney will be co-headlined by the light heavyweight clash pitting Robert Whittaker against Bogdan Guskov .
