Investigators released the first update in weeks in the disappearance case of Nancy Guthrie nearly nine months after her abduction.

“The Nancy Guthrie Task Force continues to work with our labs in hopes of furthering our DNA analysis in this investigation,” Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos shared on Friday, October 30.

“Earlier this month, investigators traveled to Florida to meet with lab scientists to see what more could be done to advance the case,” he added. “A number of ideas were discussed, and we continue to work with all of our partners to solve this case.”

In April, the FBI confirmed that a hair sample collected from the crime scene had been transferred from a private Florida laboratory to the bureau for testing.

Nanos went on to remind the public that no tip is too small.

“Even the smallest piece of information could be critical to this investigation. If you know something, please call 88-CRIME or 1-800-CALL-FBI,” he concluded.

Guthrie was reported missing on February 1, one day after attending a family dinner at her daughter Annie’s home. It was later determined that the 84-year-old was abducted from her home in the early morning hours.

Unearthed footage from her front door camera showed a masked, armed man tampering with the lens before the signal was cut.
